The Jakob Winter Contoured Greenline violin cases are a unique series of cases. They are made of natural fibers, as part of their eco-friendly mission. The material is water repellent. And the interior is lined with 100% quality cotton velvet. It does feature a suspension system. And it's unbelievably light!
It also has space under the violin for shoulder rest. Which is a great feature. Since most contoured cases have limited space for shoulder rests.
Fine, except there is no strap to keep the top of the case vertical when it is sitting open. Otherwise, it is handsome, light and sturdy.
This case is like air compared to my ‘77 Buick LeSabre of violin cases. The details on this case are well-made and sturdy so I feel my instrument will be well-protected in the years to come. And, my shoulders and back are unburdened as I travel.
