I bought the Nightflash viola case for my 16" instrument. I believe the case to be well made, protecting against damage and moisture. I have three small complaints, but none significant enough that would prevent me from buying the case again. First, I don't think this case should be advertised as a student item, since some of us older professionals can also appreciate what it offers. Second, I have not figured out why case makers suddenly decided it was smart to turn the bow attachments around, requiring us all to be left-handed when we put bows away. It's very awkward and certainly makes me ponder the rationale. Last, I would prefer having one sturdy handle rather than two. It's harder to grab two handles with your hands full. Some of the features I especially love: having a music compartment on the bottom of the case so that when you set it down, the case doesn't tip backwards from weight on top. I also like the opening and closing features (zipper and strong magnet) - durable and pretty fool-proof. Finally, I have a perfect amount of room, distributed between compartments perfectly (my Mach One shoulder rest fits with my glasses like a glove in the open area while rosin and rag stay in the spring-closed compartment). Excellent ordering and delivery experience with Great Violin Cases.
