Pedi NiteFlash Oblong Violin Case Red

I wanted a case that was light weight, protective, functional and comfortable to carry. This case fits it all. There’s not a lot of storage space inside so switching to a collapsible shoulder rest was necessary but over all I still like it.

The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the big compartment (there are 1 big and 2 small compartments in this case) is a little small. I have to squeeze in my KUN shoulder rest. Still fits in but I wish it was half inch bigger.

My daughter loved this violin case. It is lightweight but has compartments for everything she needs. The handles are very comfortable to carry, and the straps are great too. She had many cases over the years, but this one she is really excited about it.

The "Great Violin Cases" company folks were great to deal with. Fast and reliable, good prices too. The case is very nice. Very strong for how light it is. I have one issue with it. The external case pocket, which is quite large and capable of holding a lot of stuff, is located on the side of the case with the backpack straps. Thus, is you have anything hard, lumpy or pointy in that pocket, it is NOT comfortable to wear on your back. All you can reasonably put in it, if you plan to wear it on your back, is a bit sheet music. I imagine that is all it was intended for, but it's capable of so much more if it was on the other side of the case.

When we were shopping for an affordable good case, the teacher gave a few requirements, suspended protection, light weight, and double shoulder stripes. This is the case we can find with all features required by teacher which also weights the least. There are a few more things we liked about it, affordable, regular shape (stable, and with big pockets for accessories and music notes), and it comes in a nice color (easy to spot)! The teacher approved it as "a nice case"!
