The Bam Classic Cello case is trusted by many professionals. It's protective, has a classic look, a highly functional interior, and wheels (optional).
The shell of this case is made of ABS, a protective material used in many products including auto parts. It's scratch- and impact-resistant, which explains why it's so widely used in instrument cases.
This case has suspension padding along your cello's neck and lower bout. These protective pads function as impact absorbers. If you accidentally drop or knock your case against something hard, your cello will stay safe.
The case also features thick mesh cushions on top of the music pouch and on the sides that wrap around your cello's body. These add extra protection against impacts and provide a snug fit for your instrument.
The Bam Classic cello case comes in two variations: one without wheels and one with wheels and a built-in pull handle.
A cello case with wheels is generally recommended for cellists who don't like carrying a large instrument on their back and who travel in less crowded neighborhoods or cities.
On the other hand, a case without wheels is ideal for cellists who regularly travel on foot or by public transportation. Carrying your instrument in these situations is safer and more convenient.

The case is very light, and I am so glad I waited to get the red color. Unlike other hard cases, you definitely need to open this one by laying it down first, I don't think the hinges can handle it being open while upright. this is combined with the fact that the shell itself is just very light and even a little flexible. The side snaps are plastic but so far they snap closed well. I liked that it came with a lock.
I will say that the customer service from Great Violin Cases was really stand out and they got me the best deal I could see online for this case!

Love the color. Also the case is pretty sturdy, and still light. All the promised items arrived and in perfect condition. The only small down side is the handle to pull the case on its wheel doesn't have the most comfortable grip and is at a weird angle, but not the end of the world.

I originally ordered a Howard Core 4500 cello case but decided to change it because it seemed too flimsy to me. I exchanged it to the BAM Classic cello case and was instantly impressed by the sturdiness, albeit slightly heavier, case and the smooth operation of the latches. The latches you see on the pictures are metal but the ones that came were plastic. I called the BAM distribution center directly and they said this is the new model since 2018 and they are all like that now. I just hope they are sturdy and don't break easily...we'll have to see. This was my first time ordering from Great Violin Cases and the purchase was very easy, even the exchange and the customer service was very helpful. I would definitely order from them again!
