I bought this case to travel with, and it seems fairly solid. There is also plenty of room inside for bows, accessories, etc. I also needed a case that would be stable when you open it, and this one did the job: true, the result is more weight in the case, but that weight is an easy trade for the improved stability.
Other reviews have mentioned that the hygrometer in the case does not work, and I agree-- for some reason Bobelock embedded a cheap and/or nonfunctional hygrometer into the overall structure, so the best you can do is to ignore it. It's not a problem, though: you can get a basic, decent hygrometer for under $10 and put it in the case instead. It's an easy fix and a small price to pay for what ultimately amounts to a very well-made, high-quality case.

A wonderful case. Tics all the boxes. Humidistat, humidifier, string tube, storage, and a place for a shoulder rest.
This case has it all! Great storage and plenty of room for all your stuff. And most importantly perfectly takes care of your violin! 4 Bow spinners! And .... It's PURPLE!!! :)

Long time ago I wanted to find case like thos one. It fulfilled all my needs and dreams. Very protectove and its number one for me. Not extremely light but too light case is alwys not so protective. Very nice design, good Bobelock quality. And a cherry on the top of this is wonderful weather protector case cover. Even lutches are very attractive, easy to open close with keys included. And last, it has very comfortable shoulder carrier belt. 100% recommend it for every level of violin player.
