Bobelock 1047 Puffy Half Moon Violin Case

This is the second case I have purchased for my 165 year old Violin. I wanted something with padding, but enough room to hold a shoulder rest & accessories. This case has it all. The meter is insecurely & works well monitoring moisture levels. It is slightly heavier built than the others I have tried. But knowing it is made of wood construction gives me satisfaction on protecting my Precious instrument. This case was worth the wait!

I’m absolutely in love with this case! Love the color, super practical as well. Stylish and sophisticated, it has a special strap just for the shoulder rest. Upper zipper compartment and tons of room inside for everything. Very lightweight, zipper and clasp to shut it. Love the shape, style, colors and literally everything about it! This case is a beautiful lavender color, and is a gift for a teenage family member who loves playing the violin and wants a pretty case. It holds her violin well and is just what she wanted.

As much as I really enjoy the look of my new case and the comfortable fit for my violin, it is annoying that the case has difficulty staying open. I must hold the top open while picking up either my violin or bow and then lay it somewhere so I can retrieve the other because sometimes the top of the case will drop closed. I also do not care for the latch on the case. I prefer the standard latch over the 2 finger depressed metal box closure.

It’s sturdy and has room for everything including the shoulder rest. It’s the perfect student case.
