Bobelock Fiberglass Viola Case

We bought this case for our teen's new viola and it's gorgeous! Lots of space for her to store all her accessories. The protective case is really nice to prevent scratches and scuffs, but not needed on a daily basis. It's a substantial case without being as heavy as most standard, less-expensive cases. Plus, the green color makes it easy to locate in a sea of high school orchestra instruments. It's really a nice step up from the standard student fare.

I play a 16 1/2 inch viola and this case was a really tight fit. I like the case and the cover. It has plenty of room for extras Bon Musica shoulder rest does not fit in the case, but I can slide it in the case cover. I purchased the red case and can easily find it after concerts. It seems very sturdy with good hardware. It's kind of heavy, but I would rather carry a little more weight than compromise the security of my instrument. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve had this case for about 3 years and I get compliments on it all the time. It’s a bit scratched up now, but that’s what happens when you take it everywhere. If you want to prevent scratches, use the travel cover. It’s great for storing music in the zip up pocket but I only use it in buses and airplanes (in the overhead of course) because it’s a bit bulky and I prefer the sleek fiberglass look. The travel cover is also a slightly darker shade of pink. The pockets on the inside close magnetically and have ample space for pencils, rosin, a rag, mutes, etc. My shoulder rest fits nicely next to the peg box. Best of all, my viola is rarely out of tune when I take it out of the case, even after severe weather/temperature changes.

Shoulder rest doesn't quite fit comfortably, but this case is beautiful! The cloth case came in handy for a recent trip where it was tossed in with a hundred other instruments.
