Jakob Winter Greenline Oblong Violin Case

I love how lightweight it is and colorful styling. It also fits my large shoulder rest and other accessories.

Not only does this case look really cool, it's great on the inside, too! It will fit a 3/4 sized violin but if you remove a section of padding, it fits full-sized as well. My violin is very secure and padded within the case and there is room for my Kun collapsible shoulder rest either in the separate compartment or, underneath the neck of the violin. There is room for my glass case, rosin and snark, too. The people at Great Violin Cases were way helpful! I had several questions prior to purchasing and Olivia responded to every one of them. I won't hesitate in buying another case for my other violin from them!

IT fits my Hibernia perfect

It does all the important stuff well. My violin is easy in and out, secure, and the accessory compartment, while shallow, is big enough for my rosin, cleaning cloth, a set of new strings, and my tuner. The cavity where my violin’s neck and scroll reside fits my Everest shoulder rest just barely but has no Velcro to ensure it stays in place and doesn’t shift into the instrument when carried around. Small strike there. The other small strikes are the lack of an included blanket to keep rosin dust from the bow from dirtying the instrument when the case is closed, and the way that the outer material of the case grabs hold of every bit of dust and dirt it can find making it hard to keep new looking for very long. Lastly, the two clasps that keep it locked are flimsy and I’m not sure I trust them in the long run, but time will tell.

The short story is: it does the important stuff well, but the minor criticisms I have of it make me suspect this will not be my “forever” case.

Love the fact that this case is beautiful to look at, functional holding violin, accessories, and shoulder rest as well as separate attachment for holding music sheets or books done in a very stylish way. In addition to all this, it keeps the violin well protected and is very light.
