Jakob Winter Greenline Oblong Viola Case

I am actually pretty pleased with most aspects of this case, but the main one is the weight. This is simply the lightest oblong viola case I've found, which is the main reason I bought it. Time will tell about its durability (which is my biggest complaint with my primary case, a Bam), but for now it seems solid enough.

Pros:

- Super lightweight (with my instrument & accessories it weighs 5.3lbs, which is lighter than my Bam when it's empty)

- Appearance (got many compliments on it and questions about what brand it is).

Cons:

- Falls flat open because it doesn't have a strap (this has been mentioned in other reviews)

- No specific place for the shoulder rest (my rest is long enough that I can 'wedge' it in, but it's still effectively just loose in the case).

- The outside music pocket, while nicely designed, is just really too small (I can fit my iPad, a slim pedal, and an extra charger, but the dimensions are too small for basically any sheet music).

- Outside material seems easily scuffable (I've only used it for 2 weeks and the scuffs are pretty noticeable)

- I don't like that the scroll has very little between it and the outside of the case (there's no padding and essentially just a very thin layer of styrofoam between where the scroll sits and the outside of the case).

- Where the backpack straps attach is kind of in a strange spot, the weight balance when stuff is in the pocket feels somewhat off. The straps that came with it are pretty cheap, so I switched over my…
