Bam St. Germain Oblong Violin Case

This is the third Bam case I’ve bought. I prefer the travel case for traveling (duh) as they are lighter and fit overhead compartments in planes. But I like this case for storage in my home. They are robust and heavy and give me confidence that my violins are well-protected. They are heavy, so harder to travel with, hence the Bam travel case I use for that purpose.

We've tried two different cases before deciding on this case. It is a well built, quality case. My violin fits a bit tight in it but it's an older violin and may not be standard size. I wish it had a latch to lock. Other than that it's a great case.

I love the case!! It’s a great case with a really nice interior. The bottom zipper pocket is amazing for music. There’s enough storage to fit my shoulder rest in the inside pocket. The outside color of the case is darker than the picture, but it’s better because it won’t get as dirty as it would get with a lighter shade. Overall, just a great case!

This is hands down the best violin case I’ve ever had. Not only is it stylish the interior provides the best protection for my violin. Would definitely recommend this to any violinist looking for a stylish case with equal protection.

I was a little hesitant at spending so much on a violin case, but my old case is deteriorating after almost 10 years of use. This case is so stylish and the fabrics used are of great quality. The straps are also nicely padded and include a rubbery coating on the insides which makes them so comfortable. The ribbon they used on the straps and as decoration are also really thick and well knit so fraying won't be a concern. I really like the leather pouch they include for below the violin although you do have to remove it entirely to get the things inside. My kun shoulder rest, a cleaning cloth, rosin, a rubber and a metal mute, and a few pencils fit in it so it's definitely spacious. The case also fits my regular bow and a much longer bow and it also includes a pretty wide tube for extra strings. The case also comes with a larger bag for your music in addition to the storage pocket on the bottom (which I don't think would be able to hold more than a few books) and another small pencil bag that can hook into the pocket on the bottom. It's fairly lightweight, but given the way the case is laid out, it's definitely bottom-heavy. I think this would be the one caveat: if you carry the case on your back, I don't see why it would be an issue but if you prefer to hold the case in your hand, it'll tip towards the back. I do wish there was a humidifier or something in the case to check the temperature.
