Protective, Light, & Spacious Oblong Violin Case

The Gewa Pure oblong violin case is one of the most innovative violin cases you will find in the market today!

And it all started with a goal the German engineers at Gewa wanted to accomplish - to make light, protective, and durable violin cases at an affordable price! So that violinists with tighter budgets can have the same protection that the professionals get.

The solution? The Gewa Pure polycarbonate violin cases! Polycarbonate is a type of plastic. Which means it's more temperature-resistant, and much more affordable compared to carbon fiber cases.

It's also one of the strongest plastics out there, making it durable and protective. And through the innovative manufacturing process developed by these engineers, they were able to produce these oblong cases at 5.3 lb.

With all the quality and craftsmanship you get, it's no surprise that these cases are quickly becoming very popular among students and professional violinists.

LIKE IT SO FAR

Since I received my case I have not gone out so I have not carried it anywhere but I like the way my violin is practically suspended in air and there is room for my glasses, shoulder rest and other things.

High Quality/Light but Durable

Super durable! Love the quality! two things I am not over the moon about.

1. the highlighted velcro spot on the case doesn't fit my full-size violin... just slightly

2. Not sure why there need to be 4 bow holders on the top of the case.

other then that I would totally buy another one when the time comes!

Sturdy Gewa Case

The case is attractive, sturdy and very roomy inside. I like the two metal clasps that hold the case closed. I was tired of other cases that had weak zippers. The interior is bare-bones. It holds the violin securely but has a no-frills, no luxury appearance. There’s room for extra strings, rosin and odds and ends. I can fit two shoulder pads inside. There’s a Velcro strap to hold one of them. I figured out how to attach the backpack straps. The detachable padded bag on the underside of the case falls off when the case is stowed in the car with my gear and is difficult to snap back on with its four slide-on metal buttons. I don’t think I’ll use it for anything valuable because I don’t trust it to stay on. It does cushion the case though when carrying as a backpack. I wish that the bottom of the case was flat and not curved so it would be more comfortable while carrying on my back. The case seems to be scratch resistant.
