I'm giving this case 5 stars because I think it's made well and-- as promised-- is very light. However, in my case, it was too light for my purposes, since I had trouble keeping the case steady when it was open. It also has a rounded bottom (many other cases have a flat bottom), which further contributes to the case 'rolling over' when it's opened. Again, seems like a good case, but maybe I didn't have enough weight to actually hold the case down when opened. Ultimately decided to go with a slightly heavier case in the hopes that it will be slightly more stable when opened...

love this case, my violin fits snuggly because of the adjustable neck grip and I have plenty of room for anything I need. Also the case is strong and durable and the shoulder rest strap is nice.
The case is really sharp, but i can't say how resilient it is yet. This is my first Gewa, btw. What I can say is that GVC has the best price, was really quick and helpful answering my questions and delivered within 3 days to Florida (free shipping). I live abroad and had just a few days in US so they were the flash. Thank you GVC team!

Love the adjustable neck support. Allows my slightly oversized violin to fit properly. Does not accommodate my bonmusica shoulder rest via the built-in strap (strap too short). However it can be stored under the violin neck but needs a protective cloth over it. No zipper closure is a big plus.
