Howard Core CC535 Violin Case

I got the blue case and the colors are different in person than they seemed online. The exterior is a deep, unsaturated navy. The interior - omg. The tan velvet is darker and pinkish with a silver sheen. The blue velvet has a nap that makes it look silver from one angle and extremely dark blue from another. I literally gasped when I saw it. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. It looks plush and antique and so beautiful.

The case seems well built, with sturdy hardware, durable woven trim (not faux leather - it's hard to tell in the pictures), a convenient magnetic rain flap and zipper pulls that fit your fingers just right. Seriously. What's going on with those pulls? They're nice. It fits my largeish violin and my kun. I'm so impressed.

My son likes the color and the weight. It seems to be well made, and hopefully it will last long.

I love the fact that the case has multiple methods keeping it closed. It has a full zipper, a locking latch, and the outer fabric then buttons over the zipper. It’s quite secure. There are multiple storage areas inside, making it easy to keep things organized. Durable hard outside. Soft and supportive inside. Pretty lightweight and has optional backpack straps for easier carrying. Overall a well-built case for the price.
