Full Size Blue Fiberglass Violin Case
Howard Core fiberglass cases come in several color options. This blue case is a really nice looking case that you won't have to worry about losing in a sea of black violin cases (all you orchestral violinists know the feeling).
The fiberglass shells are protective and sturdy. The interior features a suspension system that suspends your violin. Meaning if you drop the case, the suspension will keep your violin from knocking against the case.
The accessories pouch is also removable. And the case comes with 2 padded backpack straps. No more thin straps digging into your shoulders!
This case is protective, durable, and affordable! Which is why it's a popular option among parents to get for their kids.
"My 14-year-old daughter received this case for Christmas! It is everything she needs to continue her journey to developing as a violin student. The backpack-style (optional) straps are great! And, the color is a perfect fit too! We love it!"
I love this case, but the photo looks like the case is YELLOW - the description says it's ORANGE. I was hopeful the description was wrong...but it wasn't. My case came and it is ORANGE. It's a GOOD orange, by the way...not fluorescent...but I still prefer yellow.
THAT being said, I love the case and someday when you get a YELLOW hard shell case, I want to buy it!
Nice design and build. Pictures not right, the case makes more sense inside than pictured.
The build quality is surprisingly sturdy on this case for its weight. All moving components like the handle, straps, spinners, and accessory compartment lid feel solidly made.
I was pleasantly surprised at the interior features. Based on the pictures prior to receiving my case, I had a concern about the bow holders being oriented incorrectly, as they are pictured with the spinners at the narrow end of the dart-shaped case. Thankfully, my case arrived with the bow holders oriented correctly (with the tip pockets at the narrow end and the spinners at the lower bout end).
It's also hard to tell in these pictures, but there is a strap to hold a shoulder rest along the edge of the case next to the neck of the violin.
I like the locations of the D loops for the two straps. It's easy and relatively comfortable to carry the case backpack style. The included straps are wide (but not padded).
While I'm sure it wouldn't withstand getting run over by a truck, it feels plenty sturdy enough to withstand bumps and even dropping. The handle feels strong. For a light case, the shell is pretty hard. It only barely flexes ever so slightly when I press the top.
The seal offers some water resistance, but probably only enough to buy you time to get find cover from rain.
The accessory compartment fits one block of rosin (maybe two small blocks), a short pencil, and a chrome mute. The hinged lid holds itself closed using an elastic band. I tried adding a metronome into the compartment, but…
Purchased for our daughter for her 3/4 violin with room to grow for orchestra and lessons. She chose the awesome purple color and we love the protection that this hard-side case provides. Would highly recommend!
