The case is just as advertised. It seems protective and is very light. I appreciate that when the warehouse came upon a black one that they didn't know they had, they let me know immediately, since that was the color I preferred. Shipping was quick.

Pros: it’s a sturdy case, perfect for kids in school. I can see ghat it was modeled after the Bam Contour-shaped case and it’s a worthy alternate. It’s simple, a little wider and longer than the Bam case. I love that there’s a strap on the lid to keep the case from falling open. Love the handle and subway strap.

Some cons: It has a strong chemical smell when you first open it. The top lid fits into the bottom of the case and there’s nothing to grab to open the case. That part of the design is mildly annoying and counter intuitive. I don’t like the latches. They don’t spring open and can get hung up on the top lip but they do close snugly.

Overall, a very nice budget case that looks like it’ll last long. I’ve been a wooden case owner for years but have come to appreciate their more modern cousins. I would recommend this case to anyone wanting an inexpensive, lightweight, sturdy case.
