Pedi Superlite Pro Violin Case

1. My Performa shoulder rest doesn’t fit in the shoulder rest pocket. It is too long and its feet don’t fold down. A Kun rest does fit.

2. The Velcro strap that holds the neck in place is made of a stiff leather. That makes its function somewhat awkward. There doesn’t seem to be any advantage to having a stiff strap; soft and flexible would be better.

3. The bottom of the case has metal rings. I don’t use the straps or the music holder and I would prefer the rings to be either removable or made of a material that won’t risk scratching the surface where I place the case.

4. The case does not latch. It fastens shut by means of the zipper. That creates a risk that someone could pick up a closed but unfastened case.

I received this case and was pleased with the quality of construction. Unfortunately, I had to sent it back because my violin (what I'd describe as a normal full-size violin) did not properly fit into the space designed to hold the violin in suspension. At the base of the neck, there was a cushion/pillow that didn't allow my violin to slide the rest of the way down into position. It was because of that, that I had to send it back.

Comfortable to wear like a backpack, the music pocket large enough for the larger iPad, and it has reflective trim for added safety...

Strong and light.

I haven’t used the case a lot yet, but I know I will enjoy the lightness! My shoulder rest, humidifier, and tuner fit in the bottom compartment. My rosin and cloth fit in the top compartment. It holds 2 bows if I turn the top bow around. Very snug fit for the violin after it’s in the bag. I think that will be ok because then it won’t jiggle around. There is no flap over where the zippers come together, as some pictures used to show. For someone who cannot lift much weight, I think this case will work out nicely. A folder of music fits in the pouch in the back, but not a notebook.
