Gewa Pure 1.8 Violin Case

I love the Gewa Pure case. It is light and highly professional. The velcro strap secures my violin well in place and I don't hear it rocking inside anymore. The metal clip closures on the case are ok but there is no number locks as the other models carry. I am afraid that it may pop open accidentally or somebody may try to flip them open when I carry the case on my back. I travel to other countries sometimes for performances and I certainly don't want that to happen. For more security, I added a strap with plastic buckle and wrap around the case just for more protections. It works pretty well so far.

This case seals very well, I put a humidifier pouch inside the case to maintain the humidity ~49%. This is important especially when I carry my violin in this case to warm, humid countries or on the planes, my violin seems to keep the intonations better, I haven't seen any cracks on my violin so far!

The case I chose took many weeks of reviewing many cases. I was looking for a large enough case for the violin and shoulder rest and other accessories. I wanted a hard case for optimum protection. I wanted a backpack style for freeing my hands while I climb the narrow staircase of my music school. Finally I wanted the case to look nice and be affordable. I now have everything I was looking for.

Love the space, I had a very small case before and wasn't as protective. I am a clumsy person and with my previous case I could hear my violin move around whenever I walked and especially bumped into something. But with this Gewa Case, my violin feels very secure and don't hear a thing! I love the space of the pouch as well and I like that I don't have a zipper anymore. It is a little heavier than my previous one but it makes sense as to why considering the bigger size and space. However, I don't mind because I am getting good quality and protection. I also enjoy that I can place my some of my books in the pouch attached to the case!

Overall, this is a nice violin case with ample room. It is very lightweight which a big change from prior violin cases I've had. My only complaint is that I wish it had a string tube.

This is a terrific case, and for an amazing price. The case is light and built with integrity. (I have a variety of cases protecting a variety of fine instruments). Great customer service, too: they answered all my questions. I’m very happy with the purchase.
