Gewa Bio-S Violin Case

My 11-year-old daughter absolutely loves this case.

It’s very convenient that she can fit her sheet music together with the violin, which makes going to lessons and rehearsals much easier. The design is also beautiful and looks very refined.

Personally, I find it a little on the heavier side, but my daughter says it’s comfortable for her to carry and has no issues with the weight. Overall, we’re very happy with the quality and functionality.

This case gets five stars not for luxury but for efficiency. It is light, capacious, able to adjust to hold a range of violin sizes, has removable shoulder straps, and a removable music pouch that easily accommodates several books.

Its price is quite reasonable at msrp and can often be found at a discount.

The eco materials and design are welcome.

I gave 4 stars because the weight is a little heavier than I anticipated. I researched this case thoroughly and found differing weights listed on different sites. I decided to go for it anyway, because I love the look of the case and needed something quick in this price range. Overall, I am very pleased with the case and would say it is a great value. Good construction, very stylish. I love the cream interior and brown exterior which feels classic and vintage to me, as opposed to the black interior of the newer models. A little heavier and the music sleeve while bigger than most, is still slightly too snug for my symphony folder- otherwise, excellent.

I recently bought this case after having the same fiberglass case for 15 years. Not only has it brought some much needed organization with the removable pouch, it has provided incredible protection to my instrument. Two weeks after trading cases I was in a car accident that totaled my car and damaged the music stand I had with me. My case and violin however were perfectly fine. I was worried that picking a sustainably built case would leave me wanting more in terms of protection, but I am feeling quite secure in my purchase decision. In regards to the purchase experience, the price was fair and the shipping was fast. I will recommend this to colleagues, students and fans going forward. Thank you.
