Combining lightweight construction, reliable protection, and an affordable price point, the Gewa Pure cello case has earned its place as one of our most popular sellers.
What makes this case so tough yet lightweight? It's crafted from polycarbonate – the same incredible material used in bulletproof glass!
Just like its use in protective gear, this remarkable plastic brings the perfect blend of durability and lightweight construction to your cello case.
Polycarbonate is also much more scratch-resistant than other hard shell materials.
This case only weighs 10.1 lb (no wheels) to 10.6 lb (with wheels).
Another unique feature of this case is the option of wheels, which are typically not found on cases weighing around 10 lb. or less.
Cellists love the fact that they can get a lighter cello case, and still have the option of wheeling it around.
If you live in the city where it’s not as convenient to wheel your case around on the streets, you have the option to get this case without wheels.
The case features D-rings and two padded backpack straps, allowing you to comfortably carry it like a backpack when needed.
This case features a suspension system designed to protect your cello from impact within the case. So if you drop the case, the paddings absorb the shock, not your cello.
Cushioned paddings are placed along the neck and lower bout, and along the body of the cello to absorb the impact if the case is dropped.
Additionally, the paddings are adjustable, allowing for a customized fit for your cello.
There are 2 bow holders that secure the bow with magnetic buttons.
Why magnets? They’re very quick and easy to secure. Plus they don’t come loose over time like spring-loaded bow holders.
These small components are just as important as the case itself! You wouldn’t want to get a really protective and durable case that can protect your cello for decades, yet be unable to put bows inside because the holders came loose or popped out over time.
The neck is secured with an actual buckle (not just velcro or strings). This is designed for added security. So when you open the case, you don’t have to worry about the cello falling out due to a loose neck strap.
The case is lockable with a 3-digit combination lock. Plus you don’t need to worry about losing your key, just remember your combination.
