Bobelock 2048 Fiberglass Half Moon Viola Case Pink

I was blown away by how well made this case is! Everything else that is well known and recommended on the market is generally several hundreds more. I do think the omission of a velcro strap to hold a shoulder rest in place is the ONLY gripe I really have with the case. I ordered and tried many similar and more expensive cases and ultimately decided to keep this one. If the extra 3-5 extra lbs isn’t a deal breaker for you and your shoulder rest never tends to fit in your case anyway (Bon Música users!) it’s a really great deal. I worked with GreatViolinCases staff to come up with a solution to the shoulder rest hiccup. Awesome support!

The case is great! Feels sturdy and is very stylish. Plenty of room for rosin and pencils!

I absolutely love it! It is a very lovely case and I am very pleased with my purchase. While the cloth that covers the instrument on the inside has a slight fray, I can fix that easily! Other than that, it's quite amazing :)

My trusty old viola is beyond happy in its new Bobelock half moon case, and I am pleased my cherished instrument is now much safer than it was in it's 1970-era case. I'm giving four stars instead of five for two reasons: (1) Unlike my older Bobelock half moon fiddle case which has the nylon cover as an integral part of the case, the nylon cover on the new case is removable, which makes it a bit awkward. (2) As is the case with so many viola cases, there's really no place to store a shoulder rest although the instrument bag and blanket included with the case do keep the instrument safe from flying accessories.

This is a well-made case and will keep your instrument secure. The only problem I've noticed is that the case tends to creak when it is being carried by the handle. The fiberglass seems to flex a little from the combine weight of the case (it is heavy) and the viola. A third latch centered would solve this annoyance. Are you lisrening, Bobelock? As for Great Violin Cases, they were extremely fast with processing my order and getting it shipped.
